Circulation Policy

Books in the circulating collection may be checked out for 3 weeks and renewed up to two times if it is not overdue, and if no one else has placed a request for it. You may have up to 15 items checked out at a time. MDC libraries have varying policies for the circulation and renewal of other types of materials such as DVDs and reserve items. If you have access to the Internet, renewals may be completed online by logging into your Library Account.

Reserves Policy

Resources placed on reserve are materials that professors have identified for use in class. All materials on reserve at the Library cannot be taken out of Library. MDC students must present the student ID in order to check out Reserve items. Driver license and class schedule will be accepted in substitution of the MDC student ID. Students are allowed to check out one book from different subjects for a maximum of 2 hours. (The student is allowed to use the item longer if there are no students waiting). Software Programs are for Full-Staff and Faculty use ONLY and are checked out overnight. Reserve books cannot be renewed. Students need to return the item and check it out again.

Many great online library services are exclusive to Miami Dade College students, such as online databases, streaming video, and other subscription services. To log in, simply use your MDC Username and Password when prompted.
You can log in to your Library Account, where you can see due dates for items you have checked out, renew items, and more.
