Catalog Questions

Link to catalog:For Single Sign-On, students should access MySJRstate and navigate to the Library tab. This page will open: https://learningresources.sjrstate.edu/library. Go to the middle section titled Library Resources and look for a link that says SJR State Library Catalog. To go to the database listings, look for the tab that says Databases A to Z. If that isn’t working or the portal is down, students can access the catalog without logging in first from this page: http://www.sjrstate.edu/libraries/ Scroll down to the bottom section of the page and look for the word “here” that is hyperlinked.

ILL: Our students are encouraged to place their own requests in Mango through UBorrow. if items are available through the statewide SUS/FCS catalog. They can get to the statewide catalog from our instance of Mango. Or they can go here: https://union.discover.flvc.org/ux.jsp?S=0221585755748218

Please remind the student to select their home campus for pick up. If no items can be found, then have them email their campus Public Services Librarian to see about placing the request in WorldCat.

andrewmacfarlane@sjrstate.edu for Orange Park Campus
berylwhite-bing@sjrstate.edu for St. Augustine Campus
brittneefisher@sjrstate.edu for Palatka Campus

Other university/state/community college students are encouraged to place requests from us through Mango

Other patrons (public patrons and students from private colleges/universities) would need to look in WorldCat to see who owns items to request, and/or contact their local libraries for the services.

FAQs

Password Help: All students from the college use their username and password, just like logging into MySJRstate or Canvas. If experiencing login issues, please contact Royce Bass and he will help.

Library Card Issues:

SJR State does not require patrons to get Library Cards. We accept either Student ID from the college, or a state issued ID (e.g. drivers license) to check out materials. All online access to the catalog and databases is controlled through a Single Sign On process.

Ebook Help: eBooks are accessible to students through SJR State’s instance of Mango. Have them go to the catalog and search. When they find a book they like, have them click the text St. Johns River: Click here to view this eBook. Access is restricted to valid borrowers. If they are not already logged in, the system will prompt them to use their normal college username and password. The eBooks in the system are not downloadable. They work in a database interface. Most are through EBSCO.

Printing: Each student will be credited with $20.00 worth of “free” printing (200 pages) each fall, spring and summer semesters for a total of 600 pages per academic year. If you use more than the 200 “free” pages during a semester, you will need to purchase additional print privileges. A minimum $3.00 purchase is required. Accounts will be reset to $20.00 the first day of each semester. Unused “free” pages will not carry forward to the next semester or academic year. Paid balances will carry until used, but cash refunds will not be issued. To add money, follow directions found in MySJRstate on the Student Tab. Look for Pay for Print (on campus). Students need to be on campus to access their print manager and add money. There are no print services available for the general public.
